Parents having a hard time with me going to college
My dad (more than my mom) is worried about me going off to college in some strange, big city, and last night it turned into a huge blow up. And it’s not like the matter is pressing, I’m just a junior.
Any way we live in Denver and I would like to go to college on the easy coast. I really like the idea of D.C.
So what I’m really asking, is can you provide some solid, dependable information about the benefits of living in one of these cities. Or just give me something to tell my dad so he won’t be so freaked out.
Here’s the list of possible schools:
Trinity College – Dublin, Ireland
Eton College – London, England (I think it’s in London at least
Radcliffe College – Cambridge, MA
Catholic University – Washington, D.C. U
College of William and Mary – Williamsburg, VA
New York University – New York, NY
Columbia – New York, NY
Vassar – Poughkeepsie, NY
Sweet Briar College – Sweet Briar, VA
Smith College – Northampton, MA
Living alone is still living alone, doesn’t matter which city you’re living in (although if your not in New York City you’re a little safer, hah)
You need to prove to your parents that you are mature and experienced enough to be able to take care of yourself and make the right decisions when necessary.
